SCHEDULED EVENTS for Burning Man 2008

Well, basically just drop by (our camp, Tarotist Training Camp, will be listed in all the various official B Man stuff) and ask for Miss Magdalen to give you a reading. Bottles of fine red wine help Miss Magdalen read, by the way.

And if we're not there, you can still take your photo for the next Burning Tarot deck (see below).

Official times for maximal Tarotist Training:

- Daily 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ish for photographs...

- Tarotist Reading Frenzy: Tuesday dusk/early evening and other times to be posted live on the Playa. Bring a flashlight and an offering to Miss Magdalen the Tarot Reader.

BURNING TAROT, AHOY

Frequently Unanswered Questions
FUQ File v 2.3

Q: What was the 2003 version of Burning Tarot?
A: A deck of tarot cards created from photographs of Burners & other such Playa goodness. I made 23 major arcana cards, laminated 'em, and gave readings at Burning Man 2003. And I had little gifts of the cards you could wear around yr neck. Click here for images from the 2003 Burning Tarot deck.

Q: Who took those pictures?
A: Photos by Steve Fritz, Hovering, Christopher Rainone, and others.

Q: So what is Burning Tarot "Be Yr Own Tarot Card" at Burning Man 2008, at Tarotist Training Camp?
A: I'm gonna make another deck for future Burns... and y'all are going to be the characters, the archetypes, the models. So you come by our camp decked out in finery, stand in front of the giant tarot card background, and get your photo taken (or photograph yourself -- bring a camera if you can). There will be an online version, too, so everyone can make their own Burning Tarot.

Q: OK, I guess that's pretty cool. How does it work?
A: Bring a camera, snap some photos, and then come back here: www.magdalen.com/burningtarot . We'll try to photograph you, too. Email ONE photo of yourself to magdalen23zzz at gmail.com -- remove the zz's -- and include what name you want your card to be, like "The Empress" or "The Eight of Dogs" or "The Magician".

Q: What is Tarotist Training Camp?
A: A small camp of terro-ists. We will also be giving tarot readings at various times. Remember that your friendly local tarot reader cannot work properly without red wine. Plan accordingly!
